What is the difference between a vibration motor and a regular motor?

Release date:October 27, 2022 Author: Click:

Vibration motor:

A vibration motor is a set of adjustable eccentric blocks installed at both ends of the rotor shaft, which utilizes the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the shaft and eccentric blocks to obtain the excitation force. Vibration motor vibrationThe dynamic frequency range is large, and only when the excitation force and power are properly matched can mechanical noise be reduced. There are six classifications for vibration motors, including classification based on starting and operating modes, and classification based on operating speed.

Ordinary motor:

An ordinary motor, commonly known as a "motor", refers to an electromagnetic device that converts or transmits electrical energy based on the law of electromagnetic induction. The motor is represented by the letter M (old standard D) in the circuit, and its main function is to generate driving torque as a power source for electrical appliances or various machinery. The generator is represented by the letter G in the circuit, and its main function is to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.

What is the difference between a vibration motor and a regular motor?

The internal structure of vibration motors is the same as that of ordinary motors. The main difference is that the vibration motor is equipped with a set of adjustable eccentric blocks at both ends of the rotor shaft, which use the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the shaft and eccentric blocks to obtain the excitation force. Vibration motors require reliable seismic resistance in both mechanical and electrical aspects compared to ordinary motors. The rotor shaft of vibration motors of the same power level is much thicker than that of ordinary motors of the same level.

In fact, during the production of vibration motors, the fit clearance between the shaft and bearings is different from that of ordinary motors. The shaft and bearings of ordinary motors must be closely matched, while the fit clearance between the shaft and bearings in vibration motors is a sliding fit, with a gap of 0.01-0.015mm in the middle. Of course, during maintenance, it will feel that the shaft will move left and right. In fact, this gap fit plays an important role.
